2024 Stars Project

On November 8th, the 4th "Stars Project" and the summer internship of Taiwan Province students in Shanghai universities in 2024 were successfully concluded.
In the morning, the students of "Star Project" visited Xujiahui Academy and Game Museum in turn. Xujiahui Academy combines traditional and modern styles, and everyone has a deeper understanding of history while visiting. The Game Museum has a rich collection, which shows the precious exhibits in the development of the game.

At two o’clock in the afternoon, the closing ceremony was successfully held in Handan Campus of Fudan University. Chen Zhimin, vice president of Fudan University, Yang Lihua, deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Shanghai, Zhang Xuemei, director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Xuhui District, Shen Guolin, director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of Fudan University, Fan Xiao, deputy director of the overseas office of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Shanghai, and Zhuang Hui, deputy director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of Fudan University attended the event.
Chen Zhimin, Vice President of Fudan University, delivered a speech, stressing that the "Star Project" has always been aimed at promoting cross-strait youth exchanges and deepening cooperation between the two places, providing a solid guarantee for the internship and employment of Taiwan Province students in Shanghai universities.
In the future, the "Star Project" will strengthen publicity, let more Taiwanese students know, feel and understand the mainland, and build a solid bridge for the exchange and integration of young people on both sides of the strait. President Chen also sent a message to the stars students, hoping that in the future, the students will integrate the innovative spirit, practical ability and teamwork spirit gained in the "Stars Project" into all aspects of their study and life.

Liao Xiaoge, the chairman of Shanghai Xuhui Law English International Commercial Mediation Center, spoke as a representative of the enterprise. Lawyer Liao Xiaoge said that since its establishment in June this year, Shanghai Xuhui Law English International Commercial Mediation Center has provided efficient and professional mediation services for domestic and foreign enterprises, established deep ties with interns and saw the potential and hope of the younger generation. Youth is the country’s future and national hope, and it is fate and responsibility for young students on both sides of the strait to meet across the Taiwan Strait. Enterprises play an important role in the "Star Project", providing internship opportunities and helping students to exercise their vocational skills and improve their comprehensive quality. They expect students to actively participate in scientific research and innovation and social services and contribute to cross-strait development.

Looking back on the past four years, the "Star Project" has played an important role in cross-strait cultural exchanges and youth integration and development, enhancing cultural exchanges and enhancing Taiwan Province youth’s sense of identity and belonging to the Chinese nation. A total of 92 Taiwanese students successfully matched their positions in the 4th "Stars Project" and the 2024 summer internship program for Taiwan Province students in Shanghai universities.
Up to now, the Fourth Star Project has recruited 1,197 Taiwanese students from 56 cities and 126 universities across the Taiwan Straits. Among them, 294 Taiwan Province students successfully matched internship positions, and 6 Taiwanese students obtained full-time job opportunities through the Stars Project.
