Zeng Shunxi made another Hong Kong drama series after a lapse of four years

It is reported that Zhang Jiahui will co-star with Hu Xinger and Zeng Shunxi in the criminal investigation drama "Blood of the Humble Dog" on the Youku platform. The drama is directed by Su Wancong of the former TVB team, and Ouguan Ying is the chief screenwriter. Filming is expected to start at the end of September. Filming locations are selected for Macau and Jiangmen. Zeng Shunxi will shoot Hong Kong drama series after four years!

At the Hong Kong premiere of "Rebirth", Cheung Ka Fai personally confirmed the news of participating in the filming of the TV series. He told the Hong Kong media that because the show was made by the former TVB partner and acquired the popular IP, which has been adapted in multiple versions around the world, it was a huge challenge for him. It felt like a relay race of acting, and he asked himself if he could surpass other versions of the performance. Cheung Ka Fai also expressed his nostalgia for the filming of the TV series, believing that it could give actors a wider space and opportunities to perform. Referring to Hu Xinger, he introduced that the other party would play his work partner, and assured that the production cycle of the show would not be tense, and the actors would be able to ensure sufficient rest.

Regarding his relationship with Wu Xinger in the play, Zhang Jiahui clarified that there was no emotional entanglement. When talking about the salary issue, he described it as a reasonable level of compensation, which far exceeds the standards of Hong Kong TV circles and is roughly equivalent to the salary of a movie.

It is worth noting that "Blood of the Humble Dog" marks Zhang Jiahui’s return to the small screen after many years since he completed the TVB series "Tianya Hero Doctor" in 2004. Although he made a brief appearance in the 2007 "Colleagues", he was only a cameo role. This official return to the field of TV series has aroused the enthusiastic expectations of many fans.
