China Unicom first launched for 5G

Gewu platform is built by China Unicom based on its powerful cloud network capability, integrating big data, artificial intelligence, security and other key technologies, including Gewu Connection Management (CMP) and Gewu Device Management (DMP), which can provide industry customers with full-process IoT connection management, device management, data analysis and application development services. Customers can efficiently access and manage heterogeneous IoT devices, process and analyze massive IoT data, and greatly enhance application research and development.

With the vigorous development of 5G+ "Cloud, Big Things, Smart Chain and Security" fusion technology, the wave of digital transformation of thousands of industries is unstoppable. The scenario of 100 billion Internet of Things requires supporting massive equipment access and bearer, and the scenario of industrial interconnection requires supporting highly reliable and low-latency message mechanism. The new features such as passive Internet of Things and synaesthesia also put forward new requirements for protocol adaptation and spatio-temporal data processing of the platform. In response to the pain points of these industries, China Unicom upgraded the Gewu platform in an all-round way and launched the "Gewu Platform PLUS", which fully integrated the capabilities of 5G modules/terminals, 5G private network and Unicom cloud base, upgraded and built many features such as passive Internet of Things device access capability, spatio-temporal data computing engine, industrial protocol analysis soft gateway, etc., and realized millisecond message processing and stable load bearing of billion-level devices, and built AIoT such as equipment fault diagnosis and efficiency optimization based on Unicom AI model base.

In terms of passive Internet of Things access,The grid platform PLUS supports Internet of Things terminal access with various networks and different protocols, and can support large-scale passive tag application scenarios, effectively ensuring the transmission, storage, analysis and application of pure passive data in multiple scenarios such as temperature, humidity, pressure and vibration. China Unicom, together with partners such as Baowu Ouye, took the lead in realizing the pilot landing in the steel coil mortgage warehouse, and launched a digital material management system based on passive IOT technology, which effectively solved the difficult problem of the preservation and reliable supervision of pledged movable property.

In terms of device message transmission,Facing the low-latency and high-reliability scenes in industrial field, the grid platform PLUS has been optimized in terms of protocol parsing gateway, priority message queue, real-time rule engine and network communication mechanism, and has realized the millisecond message transmission capability under the load of billion-level equipment, which can provide cloud-based PLC, industrial protocol and 5G fusion application for industrial real-time control scenes. Based on the capabilities of 5G private network, terminal and grid platform, China Unicom and Great Wall Seiko completed the industry’s first technical verification and application demonstration based on 5G-A uRLLC, and built the first PLC southbound flexible production line in automobile manufacturing industry. Based on complementary TDD+ cross-carrier HARQ technologies, the industry-leading end-to-end 4ms low delay capability and 99.999% high reliability capability were realized, and the energy level jump from 5G deterministic communication to deterministic guarantee was realized.

In terms of spatio-temporal data fusion calculation,The grid platform PLUS has upgraded the device data computing engine, supported the real-time storage and fusion analysis of massive perceptual data and spatio-temporal data, and effectively supported the application and promotion of the 5G-A synaesthesia integrated function. Through the integration of platform, network, environment/personnel safety monitoring algorithm, the first domestic open pit slope deformation sensing monitoring technology verification based on synaesthesia integration was successfully completed with Tengyuan Coal Mine in Ordos, and the millimeter monitoring accuracy was obtained, which effectively solved the problems of real-time monitoring and accurate early warning, realized the seamless integration of mine scene safety management and emergency communication, and filled the gap in the application of synaesthesia technology in mining industry.

In terms of the integration of AI and IoT,By building the capabilities of perceptual data storage, perceptual data analysis, perceptual data mining and intelligent prediction, the grid platform PLUS provides one-stop IOT data enabling service for industrial applications, which has the advantages of intelligence, agility, lightweight and high throughput, and reduces the cost of data development and maintenance. At the same time, through the integration of data model, industrial mechanism model and AI algorithm capabilities, the requirements of scenes such as digital twin real-time control, equipment fault diagnosis and efficiency optimization in the Internet of Things scene can be met, and the value of Internet of Things data can be released.
