Recently, a consumer in Shenzhen encountered "high-priced small yellow croaker" while dining in a local restaurant, and two small yellow croaker were charged 4628 yuan. On the evening of March 2, the Shenzhen Municipal Market and Quality Supervision and Management Committee issued the latest notice on this matter, saying that the behavior of the restaurant involved constituted a price violation without clearly marking the price, and it was planned to impose an administrative penalty of 5,000 yuan.
Consumer Mr. Li told the local media in Shenzhen that on the evening of February 16th, he invited some friends to eat at the "1949 Huajiajia" restaurant in the Happy Coast Shopping Center in Nanshan District. When ordering, the waiter said that there was no menu, and the restaurant provided side dishes. During this period, he ordered the "East China Sea Wild Yellow Croaker" recommended by the waiter. At the time of payment, Mr. Li discovered that these two small yellow croaker were almost "sky-high". According to the consumption list provided by the restaurant, Mr. Li spent a total of 8254 yuan that night, including two wild small yellow croaker in the East China Sea weighing 1.03 kg and 1 kg, and the price of the two fish was 4628 yuan. After the incident was exposed, it immediately triggered a heated discussion.
On the evening of March 2, Shenzhen Municipal Market and Quality Supervision and Management Committee issued the latest bulletin on this matter. According to the circular, on February 28th, according to relevant clues, law enforcement officers of Shenzhen Price Supervision and Inspection Bureau (hereinafter referred to as "Market Price Supervision Bureau") conducted an on-site inspection of the "1949 Huajiajia" restaurant under Shenzhen Big Dish Small Bowl Catering Culture Communication (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. for the first time. On March 1, the market price supervision bureau officially filed an investigation on it.
After investigation, it was found that the restaurant could not provide recipes or other ways of clearly marking prices, which violated the relevant provisions of the Price Law of People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the Provisions on the Implementation of Clearly Marking Prices for Goods and Services, and constituted a price violation of not implementing clearly marking prices. According to Article 42 of the Price Law of People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Item (1) of Article 13 of the Provisions on Administrative Penalties for Price Violations, the Market Price Supervision Bureau has issued the Notice of Administrative Punishment in advance to the parties on March 2, 2017, and intends to impose an administrative penalty of 5,000 yuan on the parties.
